  1. Поставил сборку XPEnology DS3612xs DSM 4.3 build 3810++ (repack v1.0) на HP Microserver N54L.

Все работает, но встроенная сетевая карта "Onboard NC107i PCI Express Gigabit 10/100/1000" работает только на 100 Mbit/s Ful Duplex.

  3.

I have checked it on all existing browsers. Chrome, Firefox, IE, thery show that the cert is ok, but when I open FILE STATION, JAVA window pops up saying this site is not secure!

I have used full chain. Key, Cert, Root CA

JAVA? Well, I sure it is not your cert, but Java app sign and your Java security settings.

    Better provide exact warning text.

  5. I looked into this, but am I correct in thinking you can only get a cert if you have your own top level domain name, not for instance myServer.myds.me, but rather http://www.myDomainName.org

I have a wildcard certificate installed which works good. Only exception is file station which doesn't trust this god damn StartSSL!

StartSSL is good. You should use full chain when install cert. Check from several browsers. It should work fine.

  7. Hi.

Here some simple steps I used to install XPenology on Proxmox KVM virtual machine:

    1. Obtain XPenology form there: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1028
    2. Create VM in proxmox:
      • use "Other type" for OS
      • allocate memory (1 Gb is good)
      • add network card of "Intel E1000" type
      • do not use any CDROM media
      • add first disk RAW format using VIRTIO interface (!important) and 1 GB size or whatever small one - this will be our boot disk
      • add second disk using SATA interface any size you want - that one is for NAS usage
      • set VM to boot from first disk
      • SSH to Proxmox node and go to VM location (/var/lib/vz/images/VMID) and REPLACE first disk image (e.g. vm-VMID-disk-1.raw) with image file from XPenology archive

    [*]start VM and boot it

[*]use Web or Application Synology Assistance to setup NAS, select to use PAT file from XPenology archive

[*]wait for VM reboots after installation

    [*]use your NAS normally
