halibut replied to frank_zero's topic in DSM 5.2 and earlier (Legacy)
Just for reference on the new ESXi 5.5, there is a virtual SATA controller now. I haven't tried it yet but as soon as I upgrade my ESXi server to 5.5 I will give it a try...
