  1. I switched from AHCI mode to IDE mode & the yellow ports are now operational. Still must get other drives to test out raid.
  2. Hello, I had originally posted in this thread: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1016 but I figured I might be better off starting my own thread instead of posting in one that is [solved]. Like the OP from the first thread, I also have a Gigabyte EP45-UD3P. For the initial install of 4.2 I had to put my drive on one of the two purple ports. If I used one of the 6 yellow, the install would complete, but it would hang when I would reboot. ( If memory serves me, it would get stuck when looking for AHCI drives during bootup.) Is this something I'm doing wrong in the BIOS settings? When I installed using the drive plugged into one of the purple ports, install and startup would go without a hitch. I only have one drive in the system (just as a test). I would Like to use the yellow ports so I'm not limited to two drives in raid. -Any help would be appreciated. I'm very new to RAID but we have multiple synology DS1812+ at work. Thanks, Dan

  4. Are you able to use the yellow sata ports for your storage drives using the ep45-ud3p?
