  1. Hi, on DSM 6.2.2 I got this: sed: -e expression #1, char 40: unterminated `s' command sed: -e expression #1, char 94: unterminated `s' command Any idea? Thanks!
  2. Hi, I got sed: unmatched '/' and CPU info remains old. I'm on DSM 5.2 with Ryzen. Is it an unsupported configuration? Thanks, vrm
  3. Something is weird, indeed. On Microserver Gen8/ESXi6.0 I can use Jun's loader for install as many VMs as I want, but on other hardwares/ESXi 6 it works only one time. For the second VM I have to add a second virtual NIC and it works. For baremetal installs: first DSM ok, for second DSM I have to put a second NIC onto the motherboard - no matter what vendor's mobo I use. Weirdest thing: setup finished, DSM runs fine, I configure both NICs to use static IP, both work. No matter which one I remove - DSM becomes inaccessibe. Router reboot, clear DHCP, ARP, reboot everything, clear everything - no use. I move the DSM into a different network: it's safe to remove any NIC I choose, DSM still work. And all of them is totally independent from routers, I tried pfSense VM, Draytek, Linksys, Windows DHCP... Funny, really, but in any case a second NIC always helps to get through.

    DSM 6.1.x Loader

or if they just want that for cosmetic reasons you can hide the bootloader inside the chassis. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/YA-Newest-Hot-1pcs-lot-USB-2-0-9Pin-Female-2-Port-A-Female-Adapter-Converter/32756824966.html

    DSM 6.1.x Loader

Jun's loader works fine with esx 6.0. I did the following: - open .vmx file with a text editor and change hw version from 12 to 11 - upload the files from the .zip to the datastore - don't deploy .ovf, instead, just open server IP in web browser and login to the esx web page - click on datastore and select register vm, select the .vmx file - now you can return to vsphere client, edit your vm as you like - I needed to remove nic and re-add a new one, don't forget to add an hdd - open console, start vm, select vmware install from boot menu (keep pressing down arrow from the start, loader is very fast) - open find.synology.com within your browser and install your nas (you need a dhcp server within the same ip segment) - after that you can update to update-9 directly I hope it helps...
  6. No port multiplier at all. Seagate disks are in the internal bays, ESXi on flash drive and a small datastore for VMs is configured on a microSD card. I tried all variations in RBSU: legacy sata, ahci sata, raid (single raid 0 disks). Tried HP version of ESXi 6u1 and original version. Tried different disks from different vendors. I left default USBportcfg intact, no overlap. I ended up using 4 xpenos for 4 disks still looking for a solution, though.
  7. Hi! I set up ESXi 6 on an HP Microserver Gen8, installed Xpenology latest version, configured Raw Device Mapping for 2 Seagate Archive HDs (contain NTFS) that worked fine in a bare metal J1900 config as e-sata drives. Now both drives appear as DISK 1 and only one of them works, the one got attached first via RDM. When I configure them as internal drives, I got Disk 3 and Disk 4 which seems fine. Controller is configured as SATA AHCI mode, synoinfo.conf internalportcfg=4, esataportcfg=ffa. Tried older Xpenos, no luck. Any idea? Cheers, vrm
