Hello community. I have been really struggling yesterday after I (without research) updated from Jun's loade 1.02b DSM 6.1.X 3615sx to Jun's loader 1.03b and DSM DSM 6.2-23739 - HP Microserver Gen8 bare metal. I migrated everything successfully and then hit the Update button (badum ts). Then I figured that this is probably due to the internal NICs not being supported any more. My NICs are Broadcom BCM5720. I would like to have the latest DSM running, due to security patches and also due my Let's encrypt certificate. It does not seem to work now with the older build. Question: Is there ANY way how to make the Internal NICs work with the latest DSM or the only possible way is to get a supported NIC? I was not really able to find any solution for this, just putting in a PCIEx NIC. And if the PCIEx NIC is the only possible way, do you have specific NIC models as well as some advice, how to perform this on an existing DSM 6.2-23739 bare metal installation? THanks

Bare metal HP Microserver Gen8, HP Stock Raid Controller - AHCI mode (no raid, every drive is a single volume), Jun's 1.02b loader, upgrade from previous latest ALL OK.

HP Microserver Gen8 Bare metal Jun's loader 1.02b booting from internal USB HP RAID Controller in AHCI Mode. Web GUI update without any issues.

HP Microserver Gen8 Bare metal Jun's loader (thanks Jun) 1.02b Update from 6 to 7 without any issues.

In my case, also everything was OK. Even Docker container still works just fine.

I am running 15152 Update 5 with Jun's loader 1.02a on HP Microserver Gen8(stock RAID controller) bare metal. Thanks for the info, going to update now and report the results.

Hello community, I was googling for an hour now and was not able to find any guide how to upgrade from 6.0.2 to 6.1.X on my HP MS G8. Using Jun's loader for the 6.0.2 booting from USB. Please send me a link or advice, how I can upgrade without loosing the Config and Data. Thanks

Hello community, did anybody try Update 10 to Juno's loaded DSM 6.0.2-8451 bare metal? Is it safe to proceed? Please share your experience. Thanks.

I'd recommend to use AHCI mode. In this settings, the RAID will be managed by DSM. If no RAID used, then also the Spin-down feature is working with Baremetal and Gen8 HP.

What a great reply to the topic. I totally did not know about th mPCIEx / SATA3 cards. EDIT: How is it about the dirvers, for example, does Junos 1.01 loader support those cards? Thanks for this!

How is your SATA mode set in BIOS? Is it set to AHCI?

Hello, I'd recommend to try to use WakeOnLan software within the LAN to try to wake it up. Of course it has to be allowed in BIOS or iLO. If you can not make it work, maybe you can use another LAN cable and wake the server up by iLO web interface.

Thanks for suggestion, I have installed FFMpeg from the SynoCommunity and it looks it is workong now. However the Celeron G1610T seems to be having trouble to transcode the FHD video with DTS audio. It'100% CPU load and the playback is laggy. But this can be considered as closed.

Hello community, I have HP Microserver Gen8 with Celeron G1610T CPU, running Junos loader DSM6 Update 9. I have noticed, that in Video station, all movies with DTS audio do not play. I have found, that I need to install FFMPEG package here: https://nunobhorta.com/enable-ffmpeg-dt ... o-station/ I have downloaded the packages and there is plenty of them, depending on the original CPU in Synology NAS devices. Please advice which package to install or how to make DTS audio movies play in DSM6 Video station. Thanks.
