    DSM 6.1.x Loader

Hi guys. I've recently upgraded my hardware from 2 core CPU (AMD E350) to a 4 core CPU (Intel J1900). Along with the hardware I went with DSM upgrade from 5.1 to 6.1.3. To make all 4 cores appear in DSM I used DS3617xs firmware and loader. But it lacks some 3rd party packages I need. So I had to go back to the DS3615xs, but I stayed with DSM 6.1.3. My question is if the DS3615xs system still uses all 4 cores of J1900 CPU, although it shows only 2? Should I look forward to upgrade to DS3617xs when packages I need become available or there is no point waiting? What are the practical reasons and pros of DS3617xs over the DS3615xs?
  2. Hello. I have 2 test platforms running XPEnology - based on AMD E-350 and Intel E... some dual core. I use the same HDD. With AMD I get transfers aprox 25MB/s in write and 35MB/s in read with encrypted shares. For Intel it is about 50MB/s in write, don't remember the read transfers. With non encryted shares I reach aprox 100MB/s transfers, much much higher. So the bottleneck for encrypted shares transfers is the CPU. Then why accessing encrypted share takes "only" about 50% of CPU usage? I have a feeling that a lot of CPU resources is simply wasted.
  3. Hi all. I was about to move from DS111 to XPEnology. I use encrypted shares and just found out this annoying bug with ACL permissions. What is the latest software version that works well in this matter? Is it 5.1 5055 or later? Also: is there any major differences between DSM v5.1 and v5.2?
  4. Hi. I am a new XPEnology user and I have the same problem. Tried 3 versions: DSM 5.2-5644, update 1, 2 and 3. There is no such problem on unencrypted shares. Did you find any solution? I have a legit Synology box as well running DSM 5.2-5644 update 3 and such problem does not exist.
