  1. Hello, maybe a stupid question but how can I update the driver package on an already installed stick. I mean the boot loader is copied on the stick and the system is running. How can I update to the latest driver version? I use bootloader 1.04b and if I plug the stick to a Windows-PC or MacBook the stick will not be recognized. Thanks in advance
  2. I've just updated to latest version (25426) and everything is working. I'm using v0.11 with modules from 25423 (didn't change them). dev/dri is present (hardware see sig.).
  3. Now, with the latest update 6.2.3-25426 it looks that this script is not working anymore. Edit: sorry, I did the installation again and now everything works like expected.
  4. What does that mean? I'm using your driver package (with DS918+-1.04b Bootloader) and latest 6.2.2 (u6). If I want to update to 6.2.3 I've to use the untouched Bootloader (1.04b) or to wait for a new driver package update?
  5. Post a screen shot of the boot options from your bios. I think your thumb drive is not in the first place. Reboots come from attached video-cable (hdmi/dvi) Gesendet von iPhone mit Tapatalk
  6. @pcVirus Did you try with the untouched bootloader? I have a i219-LM (Fujitsu d3417-b2) and it works perfect with the untouched one Gesendet von iPhone mit Tapatalk
  7. Sorry, das wollte ich nicht. Ich werde meinen Beitrag abändern.
  11. I read the first post again. I don't know what exactly I read. With the second testing I changed both but didn't work. Just to be clear, when I modify the synoboot.img, I have to replace 4 files? (extra/2.lzma + rd.gz + zImage) In the meantime I've installed the system brand new (with the untouched bootloader) and after that I made a test and replaced all 4 files on the boot stick. Even I deleted the files on the system drive, mentioned in the first post and startet my new DS918 again. And now all the new drivers were copied from the thumb drive to the system drive. Now I've the latest drivers installed. Thanks anyway.
  12. Hello, I want to install on my Fujitsu D3417-B2 with Intel i219-LM Nic with DS918+ bootloader. Before I've flashed an original DS918-mac-address on the Nic. I want to install brand new (no DSM installed on the formatted drive). With the untouched bootloader from jun (1.04b) my router can find the "new DS918". When I only replace the extra2.lzma (like in the first post) from version 0.8 on the synoboot.img and boot from the new created stick, the router can't find the "new Syno". Even when I replace the extra.lzma within the synoboot.img too (I mean both lzma's were replaced), the "new Syno" is not visible by the router. As soon as I switch back to the untouched synoboot.img, flash the thumb drive, the router will find it immediately. Now my question, why is the Syno not visible by my router with the extra2.lzma or with both? The i219 must be supported by the Intel e1000e driver, mustn't it? Thanks in advance
  17. There‘s no risk. It‘s even better to use the real mac-address instead of a copied one (from an original Synology) Gesendet von iPhone mit Tapatalk
  19. Outcome of the installation/update: SUCCESSFUL DSM version prior update: fresh installation Loader version and model: JUN'S LOADER v1.03a2 - DS918+ Using custom extra.lzma: NO Installation type: BAREMETAL - Asrock H110M-ITX, Intel Pentium G4600 (Kaby Lake), 8GB Ram Additional comments: only original SN used

    DSM 6.2 Loader

Do you have a monitor cable attached to your server? If yes remove it Gesendet von iPhone mit Tapatalk
  21. You have to check if you have a /dev/dri folder. Check with telnet or ssh. If you don‘t have this folder you won’t get hardware transcoding with Emby/Videostation. For Plex you need a Plex Pass membership and transcoding enabled under PMS. Plex uses Intel Quicksync of the CPU and not the GPU (/dev/dri) Gesendet von iPhone mit Tapatalk
  22. To my post above I've to say that I've sudden interruptions (e.g. while watching a video with Video Station) and DSM says that the system improperly shutted down. But it was just a disconnection for a couple of seconds. So no real reboot. Maybe it has something to do with my undervolting.I will check this tomorrow or it has really something to do with the bootloader. I will watch this issue further.
  23. Yesterday I've tried the new DS918+-loader (v1.03a2) with a valid serial number and Mac-address on an Asrock B250M Pro4 (Intel i217 LAN) with Intel Pentium G4600, 8GB Ram and 1x128GB SSD (just for testing purposes). It looks that everything runs fine at the moment. #Pentium G4600 (Kaby Lake-S, 2x3,6GHz, Intel HD Graphics 630) tested to boot: ok tested to video hardware transcode: ok (latest Plex Pass and Videostation) Yesterday I realized that after a reboot the system wasn't on. Maybe it was because of some packages I've installed via CLI. Will test further if reboot is working properly. At the moment everything is ok.
  24. That would be great if you can do it. Thanks in advance
  25. Try to use the x86 version. I also had to try two different versions to get it work. Even you don‘t like it. Tvheadend under docker is a good alternative because TVH runs in a closed system and can‘t break your DSM Gesendet von iPad mit Tapatalk
