    Trial of Nanoboot (4493) - 5.0.3.1

    I had asked you this question on another thread but didn't get a chance yet to upgrade. Now that there is a newer version of nanoboot, I would like to ask and confirm if I can use your steps to upgrade directly from Trantor 4.3 3810 ?? I hope migration will work on that as well. Is it safe to do so ?? Also which pat file do I need to download for this...

    1. Create a new USB stick with nanoboot 5.0.3.1 (you can use Rufus to write the ISO to the flash)

    2. Download the latest .pat from Synology for your type of machine

    3. Re-Boot from the new nanoboot USB flash

    4. Select from the boot list Upgrade

    5. Navigate to http//yournasip:5000 and follow the on-screen wizard but at a certain point use the MIGRATE MY FILES from the wizard. If you don't know he nas's IP address just use Synology Assistant to find it.

    After a successful migration, just use the update menu from DSM's Control Panel to update to Update 2

    I'm having same issue. if you find a fix please do share :grin:

    It seems that some of my issues have been fixed with a cleanup of the existing 4.3 packages (upgraded to DSM v5 or not). Some others have been fixed by disabling https and SPDY protocols

     

     

    cool .. good to hear that .. I just del my VPN folder on vol1 & apps after reboot its working fine.

    Any computer connected to the net is going to see attacks.

     

    Me personally I don't have anything accessable to the net...

     

    my firewall , cctv camera server & Diskstation 212+ also has open ssh port but attack was only going to Xpenology box ip. i did has default mac address / SN# but i changed it last night.

    Can this be installed by first downloading the update, run below script, and install?:

     

    sed 's/flashupdateDeb/flashupdateDeb1/' /autoupd@te.info > /autoupd@te.info1
mv /autoupd@te.info1 /autoupd@te.info

     

     

    this didn't work for me

    First of i would like to thank XPEnology for making this possible. This is what i was looking for after i found out my $350+ DS212+ can't transcode movies to plex ( roku ). So last night i got this Built and installed on my spare "HP Elite 8300" desktop ( Core i5 , 14gb ram / 2tb hd ).. and it WORKS "flawless"

     

    I got plex & other apps installed and watching 1080p blue-ray movie without a hiccup.
