I don't think we can do it, unless you know how to build kernels. rd.gz is inside the zImage (for latest revs of gnoboot), and everything i've read implies you need to be able to rebuild the zImage if you make changes to files in the ramdisk, especially if it changes the size. So, looks like it's a hard work for a fresh linux guy

Same problem for me with error 22 after installing the pat file. the adapter typ is IDE & the main disk is SCSI Node 0:0. So how do i patch the pat to work? **************************************************************************** I resovled error 22 issue by below steps: 1. Power on VM using a Linux live CD, in the console dd gnoBoot img to your boot disk (assume it's your first disk named boot_disk); 2. Poweroff your VM, then copy boot_disk.vmdk from datastore folder to local for backup purpose; 3. Power on VM to continue with assistant to complete install and configuration; 4. System will be reboot, sure, you will see error 22, don't be panic. Just power off VM, copy back your saved boot_disk.vmdk to overwrite the same one in datastore, then power on, go ahead for a fire.
