Just updated in a metal system. Everything seems OK.

I've been rebooting and inserting my external drives to the USB3 port without success, but after plugging a 1Gb Pen drive together with the 4Tb and rebooting, then the system disable all log ins for a few minutes... When I was enable to log in again both the 4Tb and the 1Gb drives were recognized. I do not understand what happened but now it works... Only the 1 Gigabit port with Realtek RTL8153 remains unrecognized. tolingus

Hello: This is my first post in the forum. I've found recently this project and I found it really interesting. Thanks to all of you. I was able to install XPEnology 5.2 in my old system (AMD Phenom 9950 Quad-Core + Gigabyte GA-MA780G-UD3H ) and it's working fine As it is an old system I've bought an USB 3.0 PCI slot adapter to get USB3 support (very important for fast backups) but unfortunately it doesn't work. The chipset of the board is via vl805: It has 3 USB3 ports + 1 Gigabit port with Realtek RTL8153 (this one I don't care too much for the moment). Has anyone used an USB 3.0 PCI slot adapter with xpenology 5.2 with success? If so any help will be very much appreciated. tolingus
