  1. I can confirm that your suggestion fixed my problem but I have a new one. During the install ESXi does not recognize any of my hard drives. Only the USB drives. I guess I need to include the drivers for the hard drives? Edit: it turns out that I needed to modify bios setting to enable legacy support for my hard drives.
  2. Thank you for your reply. I will have a look at that. I also found this which may help me as I have a HP Microserver. http://www8.hp.com/us/en/products/serve ... 5#tab=TAB4
  3. I installed ESKi 6 on a USB for my HP Proliant Microserver G8. The install successfully completed but the Microserver won't boot up from the USB with ESKi installation. I made sure the first boot device is USB but still no luck. Any idea why?
  4. Did you select Install / Upgrade on the boot menu? After selecting that it shouldn't boot into DSM, but install the install menu. Once booted use Synology Assistant or find.synology.com to reinstall. I did but not sure if I'm doing right. I arrow down to install/upgrade then hit enter but it just boots up to DSM.
  5. Thanks NeoID, I have tried your suggestion but still can't fix my issue. My volume crashed and now I can't create new volume. I have decided to restart all over again. How do I format the drive that had xpenology installed? I tried to reinstall but it still continues to boot up into my current system.
  6. Thanks for the link. It seems it should work as I am adding the same size hard drive to the existing one.
  7. Hi guys, I am hoping someone can help me out as I'm a noobie. I recently purchased a HP Microserver Gen 8 and installed XPEnology. I set it up with a 1TB hard drive. Everything is working well but I want to expand the volume with another 1TB hard drive. I installed the hard drive but I can't expand my volume. The Manage button is greyed out. Can anyone advise why I can't expand my volume?
