Ich bin nirgends darauf hingewiesen worden, dass ich die Software nur in einer Instanz nutzen dürfte... Und selbst wenn: Dann schalte ich die 211j eben ab Und außerdem verursache ich keinen Verlust oder Gewinnausfalls ietens Syno, denn wenn ich XPenology nicht nutzen würde, würde ich mir trotzdem keine größere DS oder RS kaufen. Das System ist mir zu geschlossen und unskalierbar. Wenn dann liefe auf meiner Hardware eben FreeNAS oder ein 08/15 Debian Linux mit Samba, Apache und Co...

Hi Trantor, in my option cache files should automagically regenerate. Try to delete the queue.php from that location but MAKE A BACKUP FIRST. Of course if there really is an error in original queue.php then ehis will not fix the problem. Did you update PhpBB or what did cause the problem?

The reason is that the update only is for real disk stations. You are running the software on a not supported device. That is like you would try to install Mac on a PC. It is possible under special circumstances and with modifications but the update comes from Synology and this is why there are no modifications. Just wait for a new release.

I fully agree with gnoboots way of working! When you release something publicly you barely get any useful feedback. If you force feedback you get much more of it. So the software can grow. You have to ask for access once and get it. And if suckers over at nas.cn would not dteal his work (it's against the spirit of open source not to give credit) he would not be forced to protect the files by PW

Wie ist diene Festplattenkonfiguration? Du bootest vom USB-Stick?

Virtualization is pretty cool even if you do only want to run DSM on a single machine as if you want to try something out you can just create a second VM or if you upgrade a bootloader just create a snapshot before... Also VMWare runs und hundreds of server constellations and for DSM they are all nearly the same "hardware" so it's like iPhone OS: It can be developed to perfectly match a VM as everybody has "the same" in theory

Hi, I would search for data files and backup them before trying anything. After that what about uninstalling and reinstalling but unselect "beta versions" - probably that helps?

Sure but I have on Bug which I hope will be fixed... I cannot import a CA-trusted certificate for SSL. If you click the button jsut nothing happens. I reported that to synology (I also own a DS211j) //Edit: It was fixed (tested with my DS211j)

Den Stick musst du natürlich drin lassen, da ist ja das Startprogramm drauf! Und zum Rest wäre es gut, wenn du uns sagst, was genau dein Problem ist. "Geht nicht" ist immer etwas schwammig

Some updates about my volume expansion problem: mdstat shows the md5 as a raid5 with 4 disks (seems to be enlarged on disk 4) and no information about the rebuild so it should be OK! But DSM does not let me reboot as its doing work on volumes and also I can not access the storage manager anymore... (It is loading very very long and when I can access it every list is empty. If you stay in an empty list it says network connection failed but DSM is still accessible so it just seems to be an inresponsive service or something similar) But I CAN access my data... The Widget still shows 6 GB size and it is called "Volume 1 (Expanding)" (translated it from german to english) Now I tried to enter the reboot command at the console. After five minutes of no response I used the virtual reset button. Now I was able to start the expansion manually using the "Manage Volume" Button... It worked...

Could anyone please try to expand a volume with an additional HDD? I hav an SHR over 3 HDDs and want to add a 4th HDD to enlarge it. If just goes through the process showing the percent of progress. After 100% it just says "Expanding" and I cannot access the storage dialog anymore I am trying this using DSM 5.0 beta
