  1. Apart from the kernel version that changes from DSM 6.1 (3.10.102) to 6.2 (3.10.105), does syno included new protection ? The issue with 6.2 when loading drivers/modules that crash, does it crash because of protection or "just" because these modules are not build with latest GPL released ? I've been offline from long long time but I discovered that Syno released GPL sources for DSM 6.1-15047 (kernel 3.10.102) in september 2017 and no one tried to build it's own kernel from there. I am very suprised 😮 since there are loader that fool the protection, the only missing part is a working kernel that we can custom.

La solución mas sencilla que he hecho, varias veces por cierto, es crear un USB con live-cd de Ubuntu y que lea esos discos con xpenology....con el administrador de discos de UBUNTU simplemente es eliminar la primera partición de cada disco que es donde se instala lo referente a la version de DSM...vuelve a poner el PenDrive con el loader que quieras y vuelta a instalar de cero sin perder la información. Y ya te digo, lo he hecho muchisimas veces y no he perdido la información ni una vez...y simplemente iba cambiando de DSM 3615 a 3617 para ver la estabilidad y cual me interesaba, eso sin perder la info de los discos.

  4. Put attached script in /usr/local/etc/rc.d/ — it will try to keep .so patched (script is executed at system startup/shutdown), even after DSM update. Based on the nice shell code of yours, thanx a lot! libNVMEpatch.sh
