  1. List of mirror links to DSM 5.x and DSM 6.x boot loaders. Please drop a comment if you see a broken link or some erroneous information. All other posts will be deleted. Before downloading a loader I suggest you read this topic (for DSM 6.x) or this topic (for DSM 7.x) to know which loader to download. DSM 7.x - Read Flyride topic Tinycore-redpill (TCRP) Releases | Download is straight from Github. 2. @WiteWulf there is no need to flash a MAC address to you nic if using one of Jun's bootloaders, you just edit "grub.cfg" to reflect your MAC address. Most of us are happily adding the real MAC for our cards

  3. @thearc Actually, you don't have to change it, the current "MAC1=aabb..." setting will be used for eth0 on your new nic. Unless your "face" MAC conflicts with your eth1 on the new nic, you should be ok.

  5. No, it cannot be upgraded to 23824. No, e1000e is not necessary. I have a success with ds918 and e1000 on Xeon Silver. The main requirement is CPU Haswell or newer.

  6. Problem solved. I had some kind of faulty upgrade that made the whole system flakey. I enabled ssh, logged in, and ran this commands: sudo /usr/syno/sbin/./synodsdefault --reinstall sudo reboot that wiped all setiings and forced a full reinstall of DSM software. Simply went to find.synology.com and followed prompts to reinstall latest DSM. All problems fixed.
