skyfoot Posted November 12, 2015 Share #1 Posted November 12, 2015 Hello, I have DSM 5.2-5592 Update 3 and installed surveillance station ver. 7.1-4058. I buy 1 license camera pack from synology, but I have I problem. I use add license wizard from surveillance station, then i wrote license key , and finally aktivate by pressing button FINISH. Then sisten check and send me message "Connection failed. Please check your network settings". I like to know, is synology now blocked license activation, because I use eXPEnoboot for DSM 5.2 ? For any answer i will be gratefull. Mihael

fatgrass2006 Posted November 13, 2015 Share #4 Posted November 13, 2015 Hi Those with valid and purchased serial numbers can try this: 1. Install ver 7.0-3762.spk (remove existing versions first) 2. Activate and add your valid key 3. Simply let Packager Installer Update Surveillance Station to the latest release This worked for me

oortmanp Posted December 20, 2015 Share #9 Posted December 20, 2015 I reverted to 7.0 and it worked, but after update they were gone too. I have exactly the same problem. Is there any known solution?
oortmanp Posted December 20, 2015 Share #10 Posted December 20, 2015 For now I solved it by downgrading to the last 7.0 version (http://download.synology.com/download/s ... 0-3778.spk) and disable automatic update, since from the first version of 7.1, the official bought license gets ignored. I hope someday I can upgrade to 7.
NeoID Posted December 20, 2015 Share #11 Posted December 20, 2015 Are you sure that you have specified a valid serial/mac in your boot image? Might be unrelated, but worth a try.
brantje Posted December 22, 2015 Share #12 Posted December 22, 2015 Are you sure that you have specified a valid serial/mac in your boot image? Might be unrelated, but worth a try. Afaik serials / mac do not matter since the licenses are transferable. Looks like they do a simple check: GET /license_activation.php?cipherText=75FzMfuFSNq%2FwZagH3MYwoxc7VBy9L7N7szG4m6FJjhnna8W7VWaNRu%2Bafb0EzBOi4RnM6YKFJcILalWpoNkx0aEVIrY1OuXgFveKAjppPVEqgi2TRM%2FRW9Re2AZJLItG600DMYyU8HYgufzB1ZNFfYIDI22%2BCd3cZ7eJRR3pvQ%3D&dsSN=XXXXXXXXXX&dsModel=XXXXX&seed=275599814
