Dfds Posted August 29, 2014 Share #3 Posted August 29, 2014 I believe it's to do with the USB still being mounted, have a look at this thread viewtopic.php?f=2&t=6&start=340 Try unmounting the USB stick or removing it after booting & then check the logs to see if you're still getting the same error or not. rikadoo Posted September 2, 2014 Author Share #6 Posted September 2, 2014 Well the hibernate issues without the usb didn`t solve. I did run the hibernate debug tool on the background with Putty open. When the NAS is waking up i get this: Sep 2 19:16:49 NAS-PC kernel: [10067.545123] [/.htaccess] opened by pid 21926 [u:(/usr/bin/httpd), comm:(httpd)] Sep 2 19:16:54 NAS-PC kernel: [10072.821836] sd 0:0:0:0: sda: cmd run - tag ff - 28 00 00 4b ff 80, pid:11108, comm:kworker/1:2 Sep 2 19:16:54 NAS-PC kernel: [10072.821865] sd 1:0:0:0: sdb: cmd run - tag ff - 28 00 00 4b ff 80, pid:11108, comm:kworker/1:2 Sep 2 19:16:54 NAS-PC kernel: [10072.821882] sd 2:0:0:0: sdc: cmd run - tag ff - 28 00 00 4b ff 80, pid:11108, comm:kworker/1:2 Sep 2 19:20:06 NAS-PC kernel: [10264.844034] [/etc/passwd] opened by pid 28835 [u:(-ash), comm:(ash)] I did not opend the webpage or anything else i am only running Putty. sstavross Posted September 18, 2014 Share #10 Posted September 18, 2014 I tried a clean install on DSM 5 with last update. I have the same problem as you, the hhds go to hibernation but they wake up after some time. I have not any package installed, so it has nothing to do with some application trying to access the disks. The only service I have enabled is the DDNS. What bios do you have? I have the latest of HP, not the modded one. Do you think this is the problem?

legswilly Posted October 13, 2014 Share #12 Posted October 13, 2014 I dont have a HP system, i have a homebuild system wit an Pentium en MSI motherboard. i have no idee what the problem is. I have also a homebuilt system and it never goes to sleep. My Synology Disk Station DS213j goes to sleep. If I start a PC it wakes up and I guess that somehow it monitors LAN traffic, any LAN traffic. The only thing I can think of is that the NIC is set to detect traffic and wakes the disk station. Does anybody know how it works? Is there a way to find out what NIC is used in the disk station?
