[SOLVED] WORKGROUP issue after reboot

After reboot I always have to disable and then again Enable Windows file service, to see my SYNOLOGY in WORKGROUP.

Seems like there are some rights broken.

Anybody ????

Sometimes my NAS takes a while to appear in the Network workgroup list.

What happens if you access the NAS directly ? i.e. in an explorer window address bar, type \\DiskStation (or whatever your NAS share name is)

If I try with:

\\SYNOLOGY1 - does not work

\\192.168.1.5 - works ( IP address from SYNOLOGY1)

One of my SYNOLOGY2 is always connected without any issues (DS213+) or delay

i have the same issue...

With Ip adress works good..

Same for me on 2 local computers, I added my syno ip in my hosts file to 'patch' this problem

(Envoyé depuis mon cell)

After I added SYNOLOGY1 ip in my hosts file, I can access to SYNOLOGY1 thrue \\SYNOLOGY1 in win explorer

The main problem still remains, other multimedia devices do not see the server in the network group, so playback is not possible.

I made the following:

- reinstalled DSM

- Istalled new WIN8

And still not see "the Name" SYNOLOGY1 in my network.

But I can always access to SYNOLOGY1 via IP address "192.168.1.5"

I noticed also that if I rename the NAS to another name like SYNOLOGY3 it appears immediately in the network,

but after reboot it disappears again.

Anybody ???

New clean install solved my problem.
