Drivers requests for DSM 5.2

Recommended Posts

Has Anyone installed on Asus Server board with Pike LSI card. The reason I ask is I have Asus Server board on my PC with a Pike LSI controller board all run great but does not see drives on the Pike LSI controller. Is there any driver that I should install.

Thank You Nicodemus.

Hi Trantor,

the changelog of Beta8 says "Add multimedia dvb drivers (include all drivers available in kernel sources as module)".

But my TV card does not want to run. It uses ddbridge.ko, but I can't insmod it:

insmod: can't insert '/lib/modules/ddbridge.ko': unknown symbol in module, or unknown parameter

I've done a modinfo under Debian Wheezy: ddbridge depends on dvb-core and i2c-core. But these two modules are not in Beta8`/lib/modules.

Next I would like to reduce power consumption of my N54L. In the hope that I can use the firmware files from Wheezy, I need following kernelmodules: radeon, ttm, power-supply and i2c-algo-bit.

Can you please add these "missing" modules?

Thx in advance

Alchemi

Hi Tantor, please can you review a link http://xpenology.trantor.be/beta/mellanox.7z please ?

It is not possible to download

Thank you much

Mirek

Unfortunately i want to use my 10G NIC (HP NC523SFP) which doesn't show up in WebGUI.

Link : http://xpenology.trantor.be/beta/qlcnic.ko

Copy the module to /lib/modules and insmod it

I'm curious about performance with this ^^

Will be included in next repack.

Mellanox ConnectX® InfiniBand (MHGH28-XTC) 10GB ethernet 30€ dual port card on ebay. Cheap 10 GB ethernet

Link : http://xpenology.trantor.be/beta/mellanox.7z

Same as above, copy .ko files to /lib/modules and insmod mlx4_core.ko then mlx4_en.ko

Trantor or anyone is it possible to use these modules for DSM 5.0-4458 using Nanoboot?

i also have a mellanox card and using this module for for DSM 5.0-4458 does not work however using the beta 8 for 4.3-3827 it can recognize my Mellanox card just fine.

I am not sure if i need to do somthing special to make this work for 5.0-4458.

Thanks.

Sorry but I don't have anytime to do it and I don't have the nanoboot sources.

You can download the Syno GPL sources (5.x branch) and the latest alx driver sources and compil it

Search in the forum compiling drivers have been discuss many time.

Please add: Marvell Yukon 88E800

It seems to work, but I get a weird IP adress assigned. 169.x.x.x range.

Tried trantor and Nanoboot versions

Full mobo specs: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6813131029

I know it's old....

That looks like a DHCP issue so maybe you could try trouble shooting that first as it may not be a driver related problem. The 169.x.x.x range is an APIPA (Automatic Private IP Addressing) or Link Local address, which is generated by the system when no IP address is provided by a DHCP server.
