  1. I updated to an incompatible version and bricked my system (HP Gen8 Microserver). I tried reinstalling with a new bootloader and 6.2.3-25426-3 with my 4x HDD's (full of data) unplugged. I managed to successfully reinstall using a single fresh hard drive and then hot plugged in the 4x HDD's, they are recognised in the storage manager but I wasn't prompted to repair the volumes etc to recover the data. I then restarted the server and was given the option to repair. It gets to 1% and then restarts. I then cannot access the server again through the IP address or find.synology.com. I'm really at a loss what to try next. My primary concern is retrieving the data on the hard drives (not everything is needed but some of the data is important). I'm happy to reconfigure the synology settings etc. Anything else I can try?
  2. I actually got this working and it was very straight forward, let me try and explain: I removed the hard drives from the Dell T20 and moved them to the HP Microserver (it was pretty much a bare install anyway, apart from some IP camera recordings which I was happy to start again with). I then modified the grub.cfg with the updated NIC's and plugged it in to the Microserver expecting to reinstall. When I went to the synology assistant it prompted me to log in and all was well. As I had previously set everything up in DSM 6.0 I had basic RAID groups assigned to each hard drive with a volume with each. As I removed 1 hard drive and added a new one, I just removed the old RAID group and created a new one. Everything seems fine, very straight forward.
  3. I have a working installation of Xpenology 6.0 on a Dell T20. I have since bought a HP Microserver Gen 8 as I needed something smaller. Do I need to reinstall Xpenology or can I simply move the USB stick and drives from one server to the other?
  4. That makes sense, I kind of thought clicking "All" would show everything including the community packages
  5. Just installed XPEnology and it was a breeze, however when I went to install sabnzbd from the package centre it isn't present at all. To install XPEnology I used: XPEnoboot_DS3615xs_5.2-5565.2.img DSM_DS3615xs_5565.pat Do I need to install anything first before sabnzbd will appear? There are other apps missing too but this one is the one that's most important to me right now.
