It worked! Now for part two of my stupidity. It asks me for a 6 digit code (multifactor authentication) But the mail settings are not configured....

Hi, I updated my xpenology to DSM5.2 update2, so far so good. When configing i tought it would be a good idea to maximise security. So it began: I started with https disable admin en guest user disable telnet Next i implemented multi factor authentication, at this point it pointed out to set te mail settings. Hell, i will do this later. Then i was thinking it would be nice to create a difficult password. So i did, 24 charactars, all random. But i forgot to note this down.... Now i'm locked out of my nas. Does anyone know a method to reset everything but to keep my data?
  5. Thanks, it worked. No idea how i could forget to try that.
  6. Yesterday i was trying to upgrade to 5.2 but it always failed... Updated the bootloader. Synology assistant found the nas. Manually uploaded the synology_bromolow file. After 5 minutes is says the file is corrupted. Tried multiple files, multiple versions (update 1 and 2). Has someonelse got this problem? And how did you fix this? Also did you guys use excell file found on this forum to change your mac and serial?
  7. Hi Thanks for the quick response. Yes i have tried editing the files numerous times without results.... These are my settings now esataportcfg="0x10" usbportcfg="0xfc0" internalportcfg="0x2f"
  8. Hi, I'm getting kind of desparate so i hope anyone here can help me. Xpenology (dsm 5.1) is running on my n40 since a week. Now i'm trying to get my 5th disk to show but nothing is working.... I've edited the synoinfo.conf file (yes both...) but nothing changes, it seems like these changes have no impact. At this moment the values are: esataportcfg="0x10" internalportcfg="0x2f" When i boot from a different usb into ubuntu the disk is shown without any problem so there is no hardware problem. Could someone help me out please? Kr
