  1. Hi, I know this issue is not related to Xpenology, but I'm trying my chance here since no solution was found on the official forums of Synology after other users asked the same question. The reason I need to do this is because I moved from an old Synology with a volume size limit of 16TB, that the migration process to a different NAS can't remove while keeping the data intact. And unfortunately the volume manager of DSM forces you to delete the installed packages when you remove the existing volume before recreating a new one.
  2. Indeed you were right as the volume was created on a DS213air before I moved it to a HP Proliant N54L, without knowing that DS213air specs limits the volume size to 16TB, and DSM isn't able to go beyond after a NAS migration. Now my big problem is that deleting the volume also forces me to delete the packages, and from what I could find on internet, there is no way to make a backup of them with my custom settings, or the playlist database of Audio Station...
  3. I'm using SHR RAID with 1 disk fault tolerance, and the drive I want to initialize is brand new then DSM shows its SMART status as normal, so its not a hardware problem.
  4. Hi, As I don't understand why the storage manager can't let me expand my RAID volume to more than 16TB when I try to initialize my new Western Digital 8TB drive, is it because its size difference is too high with my smallest HDD at 4GB ? You can see the list of my HDD there https://www.dropbox.com/s/sp4ds16iu3qcpaz/RAID.jpg?dl=0
  5. Hi guys, I successfuly migrated to 6.0, but I noticed as major loss of speed in the data transfers between my external USB 3.0 HDD plugged through my Transcend TS-PDC3 cards on SATA ports. Did anyone else experienced the same problem with those cards ? Or does someone know what could cause this problem ?
  6. Hi, After having upgraded successfully my DSM 5.2 to 6.0 having a 3 HDD Raid volume, I added a 4th HDD by using a 6TB Western Digital Red model. My problem is that even if I swap its slot with one of the other 3 HDD, it won't initialize in DSM making it impossible for me to expand the RAID volume. Yet this HDD was still working perfectly under Windows when I was copying the data from its NTFS partition on another backup HDD, before plugging it in my HP Proliant N54NL. You can see its status in DSM storage manager with this screenshot : https://www.dropbox.com/s/xcvwpy9kv2iso ... S.jpg?dl=0 Does anybody have a clue on why it won't initialize ?
  7. I know this was an old question, but in case someone else like me was looking for an answer which was still not provided on this forum, then here is the one I found : http://homeservershow.com/forums/index.php?/topic/5156-usb-30-card-for-n54l/
