  1. That´s not an option right now as my cpu is not compatible with Intel VT-d. So I wouldn´t be able to passthrough my disks.
  2. I´m using a baremetal install on a "Asrock B85M-ITX" with in Intel i3-4130 Mhh the DS918+ has 4 cores instead of 2 like my Intel CPU. I had a look at my logs again and there´s exactly the same error you mentioned. But I´m unable to change physical cores, any ideas ? #cat /var/log/synophoto.log | grep socket 2018-08-13T13:51:47+02:00 iDisk synophoto-bin-sdk-plugin: /source/synophoto/src/lib/io/channel.cpp:73 channel[/run/synophoto/task-center.socket] construct failed: connect: No such file or directory 2018-08-13T13:51:48+02:00 iDisk synophoto-bin-sdk-plugin: /source/synophoto/src/lib/io/channel.cpp:73 channel[/run/synophoto/task-center.socket] construct failed: connect: No such file or directory
  3. Also bei mir läuft das C2 Backup schon seit längerem einwandfrei und ich habe keine gültige Kombination aus Mac+SN. Hab zwischenzeitlich auch die Architektur von DS3617 auf DS918+ gewechselt. Alles ohne Probleme.
  4. cat /proc/cpuinfo processor : 0 vendor_id : GenuineIntel cpu family : 6 model : 60 model name : Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-4130 CPU @ 3.40GHz stepping : 3 microcode : 0x19 cpu MHz : 3400.000 cache size : 3072 KB physical id : 0 siblings : 4 core id : 0 cpu cores : 2 apicid : 0 initial apicid : 0 fpu : yes fpu_exception : yes cpuid level : 13 wp : yes flags : fpu vme de pse tsc msr pae mce cx8 apic sep mtrr pge mca cmo pat pse36 clflush dts acpi mmx fxsr sse sse2 ss ht tm pbe syscall nx pdpe1gb rdt scp lm constant_tsc arch_perfmon pebs bts rep_good nopl xtopology nonstop_tsc ap erfmperf eagerfpu pni pclmulqdq dtes64 monitor ds_cpl vmx est tm2 ssse3 sdbg fma cx16 xtpr pdcm pcid sse4_1 sse4_2 movbe popcnt tsc_deadline_timer aes xsave avx f16c rdrand lahf_lm abm arat invpcid_single pln pts dtherm retpoline tpr_shadow vnmi flexpriority ept vpid fsgsbase tsc_adjust bmi1 avx2 smep bmi2 erms invpcid xsaveopt So I´ve been having the same problem that only places is being indexed and everything else remains "indexing" as displayed on the web but in fact the sevice stopped. Above is my cpuinfo. I´m currently running a DS918+ build with Jun´s Loader 1.04. The last few lines of /var/log/synophoto.log show that an error occures but I´m not able to identify what´s really going on. As of now the first categories and the people ablum are being populated. So one of the updates broke the detection.
  5. - Outcome of the migration: SUCCESSFUL - DSM version prior update: DSM 6.2 with model DS3617xs & loader 1.03b - Loader version and model: Jun's Loader v1.04b - DS918+ - Using custom extra.lzma: NO - Installation type: BAREMETAL - Asrock B85M-ITX - Additional comments: migration from ds3617xs to DS918+
  6. I had the first release of "virtual machine manager" installed on the amd system but the ram usage wasn´t related to the package. Even after uninstalling DSM would not recognize all the installed ram. I haven´t tested it with the latest loader yet.
  7. The problem for my amd system was that I couldn´t utilitize all of my ram. 30% was always marked as "not usable" by the system. Really annoying. So I switched to an Intel CPU and the amd system is laying aroun unused. I would love to have it as a fallback system.
  8. That´s what I did last night. Just for your information I´m running a baremetal Intel machine. My starting point was DSM 6.1.1-15101 Update 4 with Jun 1.02a2 bootloader for ds3617xs. I placed the new bootloader 1.02b onto my current usb stick, edited the grub.cfg and plugged it back in without updating DSM. It booted and asked my to "recover" my old installation. This step took 1 or 2 seconds, it then rebooted itself. DSM came back up just fine. I then went on to upgrade DSM to the latest version 6.1.2-15132. Rebooted and it´s now running peacefully since then. Just to give you guys some feedback. Big thanks to Jun for his amazing loader Greetz, Desi
  9. try to read this thread - http://xpenology.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=13320&start=1310#p96765 maybe there you will find answer Ok, I reverted back to 6.0.2 with AMD Support. And guess what, all 8GB are now useable. But now I'm Not able to use the "virtual machine manager" :-/ I Hope AMD Support for 6.1 is coming soon.
  10. try to read this thread - http://xpenology.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=13320&start=1310#p96765 maybe there you will find answer Thanks for your answer but I dont speak russian and google translate does not seem to work Any ideas?
  11. A quick question. Any benefits if using SSD for cache in real world? I'm asking because I have to sacrifice a SATA port in my Nas for the SSD drive. Thanks. Are you able to use all 8gb of RAM ? I'm on 1.02a ds3615xs and everytime the System boots 7gb get reserved and can't be accessed by dsm.

  13. Hey guys, I was wondering how good is the current AMD support for v1.02a2 and DS3617xs or will there ever be support for it ? I´m currently running the v1.02a with ds3615xs on my A88X Chipset. But it seems that I have memory issues with it. 8GB are installed but as soon as the system boots up 7GB are reserved and can´t be used by dsm or other apps. Systeminfo also shows an Intel Core i3 but I guess that´s normal. Any suggestions ? I would love to keep using DSM and not have to move to unRAID or somethign similiar. Greetz, Desi
