  2. Hi, i found a usefull script to use deduplication on synology , if you are interested https://github.com/007revad/Synology_enable_Deduplication IT's not mine, I simply found it
  3. Hi, as title, could I install DSM that require UEFI into hardware without uefi bios? I have a HP gen8 Microserver with Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E3-1220 that not support uefi, bios, I would like to install dsm that support deduplication like, for example RS3621xs+ But as far i know this model have UEFI , so i suspect that I can't install into non uefi system
  4. I think is not possibile, but you can try to fix. Mac address and serial number are on the paper box, you need to replace broken bios chip and flash bios into new chip. If you download .pat file, you can open it with Winrar, into archive you can view bios file and DSM , you can extract bios file and write them into new chip via eeprom programmer. It works if you have some soldering skills and right tools, hot air station and eeprom programmer

  8. Not removing, simply disabling until the installation ends Install without card, shutdown server, reinstall card, reboot
  9. Try to disable two of them, or remove 10Gbit card I had to do to install my xpenology on Gen 8 microserver

Hi, i already have Gen8 with DSM 7.1-42661 Update 1 with hardware DS3622xs+, I would like to use deduplication, but only these models seems able to do deduplication FS-series FS6400, FS3600, FS3410, FS3400 SA-series SA6400, SA3610, SA3600, SA3410, SA3400 21-series RS4021xs+, RS3621xs+2, RS3621RPxs2 My question is, is there some loader that support one of there models that can run on my Gen8 microserver?
