  1. Bump? Has anyone got DSM 6.1 installed, as brand new, on ESXi 6.5? Mine keeps rebooting, no matter what.
  2. Hi all, I've posted several times, without any reply. I do really hope, that someone will answer this thread then. Issue: I've been following this thread, viewtopic.php?f=2&t=20216, and used OVF template from https://mega.nz/#!Agt00ZDT!lN5blyZc4gMa ... i9bF6ZBnY0 Then I power up the VM, and finds the DSM installation webinterface However, it keeps rebooting / reinstalling, after it says "we've found your old harddrives" I'm stuck here. Adding serial port (found in the thread linked to) didn't help. I really hope that someone can help me out, getting DSM 6+ alive. Thanks

    DSM 6.1.x Loader

How have you managed to do so? Mine keeps reinstalling, when deploying on ESXi 6.5 using the OVF template.

    DSM 6.1.x Loader

I've downloaded the esxi.zip, where the files are from 26/09-16. Added my previsouly storage, and found the new NAS. It detects my previously installation etc. But it's keeps reinstalling. How to fix this? I would really like to have the latest DSM running. I'm using ESXi 6.5. I've did a search in here, but without any results. Thanks
  5. Will this scenario work: 1: Download and setup new VM, with this 6.X+ build 2: Shutdown current DSM 5 3: Mount storage with files to the new VM 4: Boot the new VM I ask, because DSM 6 has the new filesystem. Dunno if it will work, or I should make new vmdk, and copy files from a to b afterwards.

    Upgrading to DSM 6.x

Very good arguments .... or something. Anyone else?
  7. Hi all, I've posted several posts, in the threads about updating DSM. No answers have been working for me. Current setup: Hardware: HPE ProLiant MicroServer G8 Intel CPU Software: ESXi 6.5 build 4887370 All HPE drivers & BIOS fully updated DSM: XPEnoboot -> DSM 5.2-5644 Update 5 Model: DS3615xs Installed on SSD drive I would really appreciate any answers, from anyone who has succesfully updated their DSM to 6.x with a setup like mine. There should be others here, with XPEnoboot @ ESXi Also, if anyone has beenchmarks, with performance on this Microserver, with DSM 6 vs Freenas 10, would be very cool to see too. For now, I'll stay to DSM, if I can get it upgraded soon. Thanks,
  8. I can not recomment to use esxi6.5 on the Gen8 box. The B120i driver is buggy again, but no chance to downgrade to .88 version. Go with 6.0 and you will be fine. Don't forget to downgrade the vsa driver to version .88. Update to V9 was flawlessly on 6.0. Gesendet von meinem SM-G800F mit Tapatalk ESXi 6.5 seems to work fine for me, used the HPE ISO file. Upgraded without any issues. Using the latest HPE Support package installed of course. The B120i RAID controller, uses this driver in ESXi: hpvsa, version 5.5.0.102. Again, this does not answer my main question: how to upgrade to DSM 6.x?
  9. Trying again, in hope of someone will respond. My setup: HPE PL MicroServer G8 Broadcom BCM5720 Gigabit Ethernet B120i RAID controller Running: ESXi 6.5 build 4564106 DSM 5.2-5644 Update 5 How to update my DSM to DSM 6.0-8451 ? EDIT: 6.0.2-8451-9 if possible Thanks,

    DSM 6.1.x Loader

Well, good to hear that it has started to "work perfectly". But the installation instructions does not. How to update from DSM 5.2-5644 Update 5, to the latest DSM version? Running it on ESXi / VMware. Sorry if this has been asked before, but I didn't want to read 160+ pages with 1600+ posts.

    Working DSM 6

Been watching these forums for a while, and it looks like DSM 6 finaly is about to be working. Am I right? Currently running ESXi 6 (build 4192238) @ HP ProLiant Microserver G8 Will this work with my setup? Any short guide going from DSM 5.2-5644 Update 5 to DSM 6 would be very handy (Y)
