So quick question: I face the same update/upgrade (same HP server) which how-to/instruction did you follow for this? Can you provide me with a link? I really should upgrade/update mine. BTW: I boot mine from a MicroSD.. Thanks for hooking me up...

Ok, I have a Gen8 too. Where you on .5592 update 4 too? To recap: what steps did you follow? You manually uploaded the PAT, rebooted, choose upgrade in boot, then had to fix the "moved disks" ? Then upgraded, rebooted and had no issues? How long did all this take?

Hmm, HP Gen8 Microserver here as well but I decided to wait with this update. The previous worked great just using auto-update, but I'm seeing to many different stories here..

Hi Guys, Just got myself a Gen8 too (cheap version: G1610T) and I'm setting it up right now with a USB stick (16gb). My question is: where is the SD-card holder? Or do I need to connect one? Seem a lot better to have SD instead of a USB sticking out? Hints anyone?
